Oh, Lola! is exactly as advertised. They've toned down the floral notes in the heart and amped up the fruit notes in the opening; the base is a slightly paler version of Lola's woody-musky trail. It may be sweeter than Lola — I can't decide — but it's also lighter and fresher, and therefore easier to wear, especially in the heat. It's very pink and cheerful and young. Personally, I still prefer the cheerful and young (but not so pink) Daisy, but I do like Oh, Lola! better than Lola. That's not to say it's the better scent, or the more original, in fact, with the heavy-on-the-berries top notes, sheer floral heart and pale base, it's virtually indistinguishable from eleventy-dozen other fruity florals on the market already. No matter: if you really wanted the Lola bottle — those vinyl flowers! — but found the Lola fragrance too mature or heavily floral, Oh, Lola! is probably just what the doctor ordered.
